I am KaSheena Wilbur, Owner of GOLDLINE NOTARY, LLC!
DISCLAIMER: I am not an attorney licensed to practice law in Indiana. I am not allowed to draft legal records, give advice on legal matters, immigration, or charge a fee for those activities!
In January 2015, I became commissioned by the State of Indiana as a licensed Notary Public. A Notary Public is an official of integrity appointed by state government, typically by the Secretary of State, to serve the public as an impartial witness in performing a variety of official fraud-deterrent acts related to the signing of important documents like wills, deeds, medical release forms, etc. In January 2019, I decided to actually work my commission and venture into creating a “Plan B” retirement plan. I obtained the required certifications to become a LOAN SIGNING AGENT. Signing agents are notaries public, who usually have experience and/or training concerning the proper execution of loan documents and are hired by mortgage companies, escrow companies, title companies, and signing services to identify loan documents, obtain the necessary signatures, and in some cases deliver the documents to the borrower.
I am a 2005 graduate of Indiana State University where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Insurance & Risk Management. In January 2008, I was employed in the field of Public Safety as an Emergency 911 operator for the East Chicago Police Department in East Chicago, Indiana. In September 2012, I later transitioned to a Case Manager position in Truancy Mediation with Juvenile Alternatives in Lafayette, IN. The position was grant based and not expected to last past 1 year. In September 2014, I applied to become a Communications Technician with the Lafayette Police Department. My love for dispatching and helping the community was evident in my newfound career path in Public Safety Communications, a career I never saw myself apart of but have grown to love.
On March 17, 2019, I ventured out on faith to begin a new business of my own, “GOLDLINE NOTARY LLC”. I saw a need in my community to have a Notary with available work hours for the busy person that included late nights/early morning as well as weekend availability outside of the typical “9 to 5” hours of most businesses. I will also travel to the client as most people live in rural areas with no access to a notary public for miles. If you can’t come to me, then I’ll come to you!
WHAT’S IN A NAME?
Many people have asked what’s the meaning behind the name. The name represents who you are. It tells your story! I am a 911 Emergency Dispatcher. Dispatchers are known as the calm voice in the night. We are the unforeseen and often forgotten heroes in Emergency Management Services; 1 line of 6 first responders: Police, Fire, EMS, Military, Nurses, Dispatchers. Dispatchers are represented by a thin gold line, police are blue, fire is red, military is green, etc. The name GOLDLINE NOTARY is simply a fusion of both passions.
