As part of NENA’s 9-1-1 Education Month activities for 2019, the association today announced the debut of a nationwide PSA campaign featuring the star of Fox’s hit show 9-1-1, Angela Bassett. The thirty-second PSA, focused on providing the public with tips on what to do when calling 9-1-1, will run as part of the pre-show in select movie theaters nationwide from April 5-18. With an anticipated viewership of more than two million, this campaign represents one of the largest public education efforts ever undertaken by the association.
“National 9-1-1 Education Month is all about informing the public about what to do when calling 9-1-1,” said NENA CEO, Brian Fontes. “NENA is so grateful to Ms. Bassett for filming this PSA, as well as the team at Screenvision Media for donating screen time to help get this important message out to a huge national audience.”
